IMPS, both vul.
RHO, 1st seat, opens 4, natural.
You hold
x-??????-Kx-????
1=6=2=4

Replacing the ?, what's your min to bid 4 here?

What about to bid 3 if opponent only opened 3?

What if the diamonds were Ax rather than Kx?

My partner overreached, I thought, but I want to get confirmation and figure out what the minimum ought to be.

I don't think you can ask in this way without giving one of the suits and asking for the other. Well I mean you can do whatever you want of course but I feel it's impossible to answer.

If the clubs are xxxx I would consider AQT8xx of hearts to be very borderline, and something close to that either way to be the cutoff.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

AQT9xx and the jack-seven of clubs.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.
