Is my partner really trustworthy? I'm guessing no since it's about 100% that partner has the minors. I would pass unless there is a serious amount of UI that forces me to double.

There's no amount of UI that can stop you from using your brain and listening to the auction. Even if you don't think partner has the minors then obv he has "psyched" his natural 1N bid.
