it occurs to me when in natural auctions 2m is forcing to 2nt or beyond the meanings of a 2h rebid and 2s should be switched e.g. 1s p 2d p then 2s shows 5s 4h an 2h should show " other hand types" seems common sense space saving sure this has been covered somewhere does anyone know recomended scheme of responses

It seems logic indeed to put more possible distributions in lower calls.

After 1M-2m I play the following (1M-2 doesn't need to be natural for me):
step 1 = min, any without 4OM
step 2 = 4+OM, any strength
step 3+ = max without 4OM (Garrozzo relays or something similar anyway)

(this way you have a symmetric structure. Example 1-2-2-2-2+ shows the same shape as 1-2-2+)

I'm very happy with this.

what do people think for example of after
1s p 2d p
2h min (may have 4d )2s becomes non forcing misfit (p passes 6s min or 5 very good s min 2nt min bal or c 3c min 5-5 3d min 4d etc natural
2nt becomes g.f inquiry
then
3c 5s 4+c min may have d supt
3d diamond supt 5 or 6 spades
3h min bal no diamond suport
3s min 6s not 3d
3nt 6s scatered values outside diamonds
4x cue 6 good s
4s 6 good spades no shtg

In a 2/1 FG system I play

1S - 2D -
2H = any min without six spades or four diamonds or 18-19 balanced
2S = 6+ spades
2NT = 15-17 balanced
3C = 5-5 blacks, extra values (about 14+)
3D = 4-card diamond support
3H = 5-5 majors, about a good 13+ (real mins bid 2H)
3S = 0- or 1-loser suit, extra values
3NT doesn't exist (yes, it ought to, but it doesn't)
4C = splinter, extra values (about 15+)
4D =5-5 spades and diamonds, extras (about 15+) usually short hearts
4H = RKCB in diamonds

1S - 2D - 2H -
2S = relay (now 2NT is 12-14/18-19 balanced, 3C shows clubs, 3D is 5431, 3H 5422 higher bids don't really exist)
2NT = 3-card spade support, usually balanced
3C = big minor 2-suiter
3D = very good D suit
3H = big red 2-suiter
3S = sets trumps, fairly pure pointy hand
3NT = strong contract suggestion
