I hate to double before showing my support, but I will do it now. Hope a normal partner thinks of this as penalty

For me this is an easy pass.

Put me down for the special bid too.

It just seems that the times I pass because I have some defense - probably 2 tricks here, perhaps 1 trick plus handling charges - declarer has an easier time than I hoped, and the times I do bid an unclear 4 over 4, partner often comes up with the goods.

If partner were to reopen over 4 whenever 4 is making, I would like pass a lot more, but I am not convinced that will happen.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

Pard's 2 could have been an obar bid. It's a bit of a guess but I'm gonna pass.

Does partner's 2S show a hand that quite improves with support? I have that.
Or does 2S show short of DT for X, then Spades, but in there anyway.

Haha I don't understand the passers either I would crack this all day. Seems like they go down extremely often, and not infrequently down 2. I like 4S a lot better than pass.

You mention the usual 3 ways to win, but if you can get 200 or 500 vs them almost always then that doesn't apply obv. I don't think we make 4S enough for it to be right.

On the other hand you have 655321 so I lose :P

hey, you got me! don't I count something (cries)

Anyway I've been thinking this evening on the hand and I am moving towards 4 now. Opponents have to bid next round and might lead A also, and they are awful!.

pass is not on my book, I know pass must be better than 4 or double, but it is also worse than the other one so suboptimal nevertheless :P.
