What are you bidding?
I once yelled at my partner for discarding the 'wrong' card when he was subjected to a squeeze that I allowed by giving the wrong count with too high a card. Now he's allowed to pitch aces when the opponents have the king in the dummy. At trick 2. When he could have followed suit. And blame me.

No. I don't have a plan. At my age, I would forget what it was when the auction came back around. So I just bid 5C, so I can see what I did and don't have to remember why.

Some thoughts: I really only believe 2 bids are sensible, 2C and 5C, (3C also if we play IJOs, which would be great on this hand). Both have disadvantages. 2C allows the opps to find their S fit if they have one, however as I am void in S, it would appear that S should break badly and they won't have much joy in a high level S contract. 5C on the other hand, could be right and could be very wrong.
I am going to go slowly on this hand, which goes against my natural instinct. I will bid 2C and be prepared to bid clubs again and again. 5C could well be right and if partner bid it, I certainly could not criticize.

I more or less agree with Ron, however my experience on this kind of hands is that often partner just has 3 spades and the spades ain't braking that badly, and I don't imagine me selling out to 4♥/♠, 3NT looks highly unlikelly so what is left is 5♣.

5C of course.
nothing compares
nothing compares
to it.
(and i X everythinggg that comes back to me)

... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

I'll start with 2C, my hand is too good to want to preempt and not good enough to blast 5C to begin with to make.
