Definitely USC. Of course I'm biased since I went to UCLA. I thought there would be some UCLA haters out there which is ok.

I also for some reason really enjoy rooting against Duke in basketball. I think back in the '80s Mike Krzyzewszki or however the hell you spell that last name complained about there being two sets of standards for officiating in the ACC - one for North Carolina and one for everybody else. Funny, but I feel that way about Duke - I think they are the team that referees use a special set of standards when officiating. I always get a kick out of coach K whining when his team is getting a meager 85% of the calls from the refs...

A horrible night. Gordon Hayward came so close to being my ultimate hero. If only that desperation 3 had gone in. Instead that coach that looks like a damn rat with the nostrils of a dragon with 5 midget assistant coaches and a bunch of players whining and bitching about every call that doesn't go there way has another championship (I concede he's a great coach but still).

Great game - wouldn't ever use the word horrible to describe it. Butler needed to play perfect and they nearly were - a few purposeless fouls near the end, and a 7 minute cold streak did them in. Had one decent look at the end, and if there would have been a small air current the hail mary would have fell.

LOL at Coach K being part of the rat pack. Monica Seles was getting lonely.

Let him be your hero anyway. Grace in defeat. Very Hemingway. Or Rocky (the original).

I sure hope thinking is enough, as they don't actually do lose that often!

The older I get the less I'm interested in spectator sports. As a youngster, I was a huge Montreal Canadiens fan, but now it's all kinda meh. I root for the Horns, the Vols and the Ducks, but if they lose, oh well. I'll watch the Final 4, the World Series, the Stanley Cup (if it's on), the Superbowl, the majors (golf and tennis,) etc., but I root mainly for no injuries and good officiating (where applicable.)

I guess the one team I 'hate' would be the Yankees. I associate them with Giuliani. I don't like the idea of buying championships. But baseball's kind of a ridiculous sport anyway so whatever.

I only remember Seles and Johnson. You are probably right about the others.

Used to listen to Rome a little but the guy had the biggest ego so he got hard to take. Although I know two separate people that know him then (and now) and say he's amazingly down to earth so go figure.
