This hand obviously requires an honor lead, so I pick either the diamond Q or the club K and if it doesn't work out I plead insanity, Your Honor.

partner desperately wanted a spade lead to be bidding the suit with so few points. I'm leading a spade.

Partner's double says definitely DO NOT lead a S. I lead a D.

Yes Gnome, we did x. I was sucked in by the post above.
I lead a S now. Why did I double?

Small heart. Why did I double? Was I the same one bidding 3 over 4th's 1 opening?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

I had this auction once, opener (partner) claimed to be playing WJ2000 but he had 13 points.

If this asks for a specific lead it is diamonds. If it just asks for not leading a spade (or is undiscussed) I think I try a heart.

Edit: got the double wrong. I just lead a spade.

totally correct.

Even if he wants a heart lead, I don't think they're making this on long suits because I have all those locked up!!

If I give partner the KQ of hearts plus the ace of spades then they are in a 25 point slam, with dummy bidding it on about 13. Even late at night this seems unlikely so I lead a spade. If declarer wins with the ace and leads a small club toward dummy's QTx I order another beer. I will need a full supply as I listen to partner tell me why I should not have doubled.

You double because you can see that 3 of the 4 suits aren't running.
