I think my 1 open is normal; if not, please comment.
2 is explained as Soloway jump shift; rebiddable , 17+
3 is explained as solid 6-card suit.
I guess I could bid again, but wanted to stop fighting over suit if partner had solid 6.

Since I'm not familiar with Soloway jump shift auctions and don't know which is right:
please either change the explanation associated with the 3 bid or get GIB to not make that bid with 5 not-solid.

3 is a misbid

A Soloway JS shows one of three hand types.

1. Strong hand, self sufficient suit.
2. Strong hand with primary Spades and secondary support for Opener's suit.
2. Strong NT oriented hand with primary Spades

Following the 3, I would expect

1. A 3 rebid shows the self sufficient suit and sets trump
2. A 4 raise shows the + hand
3. 3 shows the NT oriented pattern (typically a cue in support of Diamonds)

After 3, I think a new suit by the SJS bidder shows a splinter in support of opener's suit. If it has a type 3 hand, it just bids 3NT.

That's what I think it should have bid in this case, but maybe that doesn't do such a strong hand justice. 6NT is better, but makes it hard to find 7NT if that's right.
