No: Picking the 2♥ card in the bidding box and then saying 'oops!' and then bringing the 3♥ card IS natural.

How are you going to determine this based on partner's response to 3D? As far as I can tell, with 4315, 4216, 3217, etc. he can bid either 3H or 3N depending on his hand.

you are right roger, it will be hard to suggest hearts to partner later, maybe 3♦ is not so bright.
Still it focuses on out most likelly fit, so not a bad idea.

I bid 3♥, if he bids 3NT I then bid 4♦. You can't even say 3♥ is needed as artificial here since you could always preference back to 3♣ on a doubleton if needed (ok you could be 3451 with no heart stopper, but...)

3♥ as FSF isn't essential, but it's helpful to be able to distinguish between Kxx xxx KJxxx xx and Kxx xxx Jxxxx Kx.
