Seeing "Close Encounters of the Third Kind" as the feature presentation on Turner Classic Movies.

When I talk with younger collegues about the winter olympics and winners/loser in previous events.
They don't know their names, and when I explain it to them they say that they were not even born at the time.

Watching Maurice Chevalier sing "I'm glad I'm not young anymore" and thinking that the man has a point.

Everyone speaks of the trauma of turning forty so I was prepared for that. When my older daughter turned forty, that one sort of snuck up on me. She will be fifty in a year and a half. I'm bracing myself for it.

what makes me feel old is the 2 day hangover after driking too much, instead of just drinking more and going out again.

Someone asking me to learn a new programming language, which would have excited me some 20 years ago. And now I just can't be bothered.

When I say Right Said Fred was too sexy for his clothes and the audience never heard of him.

they also never heard "It`s Raining Men". such a pity.

When I got a boss who's younger than me. I'm lousy at judging ages, but I think he's about a decade younger.

Read this on another forum (of people mostly my age or younger), but it is very true... I feel old when people around me don't laugh at my obvious Seinfeld references ^_^
