When you say "Yes, and I changed it. 4NT in this auction is now RKC" or "There was a typo in the rules that has now been fixed", are these changes effective immediately or does a new version of GIB need to be released before they will take place? Do the changes take place with all of GIB, or only specific types areas (i.e., the rented monthly bots) or when using only certain settings (speeds)?
Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
So many experts, not enough X cards.

Good question.

Changes to GIB are not immediate. We release new server bots about once a month. There will be a BBO News item whenever we release a new version of server bots. Occasionally we will release a minor update to the server bots without an accompanying BBO News article.

Web version users will always get the most recent server bots. Windows users who are playing in a Robot Race/Robot Reward tournament or at a money bridge table will also automatically get the most recent server bots. Windows users playing with gib rentals or partnership bidding use a local GIB, and will not see the updates as often. We update the local GIB's less frequently than the server GIBs.
