Everytime new laws come out people usually complain about different aspects which changed from the previous one. When I had a look at the 2007's Duplicate Laws I thought RA's were being empowered immensely but I imagined this wouldn't come as a problem as bridge players should somehow be reasonable. But how long will it take till a RA deems a 2 weak natural opening illegal? Or a Multi 2? Isn't there a middle ground where both worlds can exist together? Is advanced announcing the solution?

Besides playing for fun, most people also like to play bridge to win

The ACBL has already deemed a 1NT opening that can show nine HCPs inherently destructive and (essentially) banned it.

Same with a weak 2 opening that could be made with a HCP range of more than 7(???) points...

I think the answer to "How Long" is a midling large negative number...
