reopening... to game

This happens relatively frequently:

You open 1S, there is some competitive auction and the opponents bid 3C passed around to you. Do you reopen?

If you decide to double, GIB will suddenly jump to game, not holding anything. Usually there is no explanation for the double.

In general I am very reluctant to double when playing with GIB unless I can read how GIB will take it.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.
