We play 5 card majors 11-15 (strong club)
We plan to use 1NT as forcing and 2/1 as game forcing with 2c as a relay that can be either GF with clubs or GF without a 5 card suit and no 4 card support (examples 4432 hands and 4333 hands)
Do you have experience with such a bid?
How do you continue?

This is part of the washington DC 2/1 system. Yzerman has a large thread on this treatment... see his post on this topic...
http://forums.bridgebase.com/in...hp?showtopic=41
and to a lessor extent

How does it work? It works very well. I live in Washington DC and have played against it and with it a fair amount. Do I currently use it? No. But more because I lost my F2F partner who moved away some time ago. Playing 1C forcing, you really don't need the 2C as "drury" after 1st or 2nd seat opening bid that I suggested in another thread today, so this DC standard approach is probably a very good fit for what you are designing.

Thanks for the link, I'd like to read the development of the sequences after 1M-2c
Specifically responder 2nd bid
For example:
1M-2c
1M always 11-15 5+ cards
a) Opener rebids 2h
z) Opener bids 2N
c) Opener bids a new suit

I am not sure I can give the best advise here, as DC Standard has to deal with a lot more hands than you will have due to the limited nature of the 1M opening bid. I suspect that if I was going to construct a system, since opponents have been so nice and quiet, I would use relay ideas... how about something like....
1H 2C
?
Anyway, this will not be everyone's cup of tea, but Luis, with your relay experience you may like (or maynot), like it. If you play it, let me know how it works. This approach seems better suited for limited opening bids like yours rather than 2/1 sytems.
Ben
1H 2C
?
- 2D = heart one suiter
- 2H = 4+spades plus hearts
- 2S = 4+clubs
- 2NT = 4 diamonds
- 3C = 5+ diamonds
- 3D = void, 4504
- 3H = really yucky 1H even by precision standards
- 3S = 0544
- 3NT = 4540

Hi,Luis, this system is exactly what i like. I think the 1M-2C can be played as 4-seat drury, so any rebid other than two level original suit is GF. 2C can be either 9-11hcp 3-card raise. The basic structure is:
1M-?
1N: deny spt, forcing
2C: GF with c suit or 9-11hcp 3-card raise
2M: 6-8hcp 3-card raise
2N: limited raise or better
3M: 5-8hcp, 4-card raise, semi-premetive
after 1M-2C
OPENER rebid 2M to show min balanced hand.
after 1M-2N, opener rebid 3M as min balanced hand(5332), any other rebid is gf.
I have a precision note adopte this method and perhaps we can try it sometime.

Not exactly flytoox. I'm using a simple structure over limited openings:
1N is semi forcing including invitational hands.
2x is game forcing with the exception that balanced game forcing hands start with 2c as well as hands with 5+ clubs.

Thanks Ben but note that I'm not playing a relay system, if I introduce relays here better play full Moscito :-)
I don't want to have sequences that must be remembered or memorized so I prefer to keep opener's rebids as natural as possible
After 1M-2c
- new suit = 5/4
- 3c = 4 card support, good opening
- 2M = 5/6 cards
- 2N = 5332 with 2 cards in clubs

yes, i mean only the basic structure. I think the way u paly 1M-2c is more like the top italian players are using now. I think some italian guys once said this method is very popular in Italy.
