I play at a club game where one of the pairs uses a "Kennedy Club"

They announce 1C as could be short but fail yo alert anything else.

I believe that all responses to 1C needs to be alerted.

HELP
Thank you!!!

It depends what responses they use. Generally responses have to be alerted if they are:
- artificial (e.g. a negative 1d saying nothing about diamond length, or other suit bids not including length in the suit)
- have highly unusual/unexpected strength or distribution requirements.

If their responses are mostly natural, and expected strength ranges, they wouldn't have to alert most of them.

Give some examples. If you think they should be alerted, then complain to the director.

If they are playing exactly as described in Kennedy's book (p. 61), then yes they need to be alerting 1D (positive response denying 5-card major), 1H/1S (promising 5-card suits), and the weak jump shift responses.

Yes, the kennedy club was superseded by the tiger club, where the alert depends on how it is being employed
