Can you do better than down 2?

You and partner read 4, after east overcalled 1

LHO led the 6 to east's ace, and threw the 4 under the K. A small was ruffed by west, and overruffed in dummy. You lost the diamond finesse, then west exited a small heart:

6 T A 3
K 7 4 2
5 Q 3 K
4 3 Q K
4 Q 5 2

Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.

If I followed this correctly and since it is MP you should try for 5 by playing a to the A and try to draw the remaining trump by a leading a to the J followed by the J hopefully dropping the T

Would only be for 4 (you've lost 2, 1 already), but yes.

After the hand, declarer announced that he should have made it. I didn't think so at the time, but as it turns out, he was right.
