Hand A All Red 1st Seat

9 QJ974 3 KQT873

Hand B All White 2nd Seat

9 AK987 J97532 J

Again, if you would open, but you think most experts wouldn't, that would be good to know.

What can my 2H structure handle? Wild 2-suiters? No, start 1H on both.
These hands explode in tricks with a fit in either suit.

Hand (A) is an aceless 8-count. I don't want to open it at all, so I would pass. If I did want to open it, the fact that starting with 1 (my shorter suit) further distorts the hand would be a negative factor.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

None, not close.

Vs competent opposition I open the first 3.

I hate to pass, but on #2 I see no alternative,

I pass on both. Some hands just aren't suitable for any other action.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I put that option instead of Pie (I often include a Pie option to give idiots an opportunity to express themselves without ruining my poll.) However, it's possible that some have used it to try to indicate that they would open one or both hands, just not 1.

Funny, I thought I was a bit old-fashioned in my criteria for opening hands, but I still opened one of these.

Do they both qualify for a 1S psych? One has an AK for DT so is close.

I suppose that experts wouldn't open, but I confess that I'd open both. I much prefer 1 to 1 on [A] because that is the stronger suit and the suit I would prefer partner to lead. On [B] however, I would settle for 1, downgrading the poor suit.

Wow definitely pass both, hands like these are way easier to describe by coming in over the opponents. If you open and it's a misfit you just screw yourself.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.
