You probably won't like your initial pass, but let me impose it on you anyway:

Scoring: IMP

1 - P - 1 - Dbl
Rdbl - ?

Very Late Edit (most have weighed in already): You passed originally because you play transfer overcalls. 1=, 2 = Intermediate So don't hate the initial pass too much.

4 votes so far (each for a different option, so maybe it's a good problem,) no feedback. You're in 2nd seat (if that makes it easier.) Anyone want to explain why they did what they did? Is this a WTP hand?

I voted 4 because that's what I'd have bid at the table but I don't have spectacular reasons unfortunately. Maybe 5 would be better. I'm undecided lately. Anyway I am not going to want to play in spades.

Pretty close to abstain because my first pass is so mind boggling to me. I guess 4D is fine now.

I did abstain because I would never pass on this hand over 1. If dropped in the seat I bid 2 hoping to get another chance and bid spades, even 3 if I have to.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

I would take the low road too, bidding spades later.

4 was my first reaction, but unless we are plowing ahead with 4 over the inevitable 4 on our left, what is the point? This hand will easily make game across many boring 11 counts: AKxx x Axxx xxxx and if he has 2-3 in the round suits, 4 is a good sac.

I'll start with 3. I think this is low enough for LHO to not pass it out and I can then get my spades in.

Passing 1 is LOL. Hard for pard to play you for a hand like this now.

I don't think passing 1 is that ridiculous although I would prefer 1 as well as 2 to pass.

After all, some people like to have a little more for an overcall opposite an unpassed p when r/r at IMPs. And for a 2 overcall you'd rather not have the 4-card spades.

Why am I passing with obvious butt-ins? :)

Anywayz, 4. No problem so far, though I'm kinda tempted into some sort of non-standard approach.

Lots of different votes, none for the actual bid that was made, 2

How would you evaluate that choice?
