I was playing rubber bridge yesterday at the club with three Chilean "Experts".
With my partner, i can tell, we were in a good mood after the first two boards.
We scored +100 and +1370.

All the funny thing started at board 3. When i opened my cards holding:
♠ 10xx
♥ J97xxx
♦ -
♣ K9xx

Not good when your opponets are vul.

So the bidding goes:

1♠ P 4NT P
5♥ P 5NT P
7♦ P 7♠ ????

STOP!, my opponents bid 7♠ , vul, and i have a ♦ void!!!
Thats very good news, you have faith in your partner, and you double.
"+100, +1370, +200 and waiting the last board sounds like a good deal to me"
I will DOUBLE, and of course my partner is leading a ♦.He will notice im likely to have a ♦ void after the 7♦ bid.

So we were in 7♠ doubled.

The good thing is my partner took 1 second on the lead! , and a red card appear, wow!
it was a ♥!!!!, How do you guy will feel after that??

Complete hand:

2470 :P

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the ♥3.

Besides playing for fun, most people also like to play bridge to win
