Red vs. White:

Pa-Pa-1-3
Pa-Pa-???

You hold:
A
Axx
AKJx
J87xx

What do you do? Do regret opening 1 instead of 1 now?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

Yes I would double. I would've opened 1NT.

Double. I can't see any reason to be unhappy about my choice of opening. I still want partner to think of Kxx as offensive and Qxx as defensive. A club lead doesn't have to cost, as the strength is likely on my right.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Meh, I think you're taking an alright idea too far, personally.

Anyway this is a WTP double.

So, now over 3S a NT opener is supposed to double for a 4-level takeout?
