3, mixed raise if we play that (~6-10HCP, 4 trumps, some defence) - prefer playing 3 as mixed raise as opposed to preemptive as they are more common and more useful IMHO. Otherwise I'm bidding 4; you have 4 trumps and KQ over the diamond bidder.

Hi,

3H

This is a hand, were you would like to play a mixed raise,
a better than av. 3H preemt.
If not playing mixed raises, I would still bid a preemptive 3H.
You are strong enough, to be sure, that they cant make any
thing from a certain level onwards, but the hand is not good
enough, to believe, that you have a fair chance of makeing
4H, so go the middle road.

I would raise with a lot less to 2H, so ... 2H is not an option
for me.
3H showes the 4th trump and some shape, which you basically
have.

And even if 3H is preemptive, preemptive does not mean garbage
or "Dreck", it should still show some constructive things, like
4 trumps, shape and a little bit add.

With kind regard
Marlowe

I'd prefer 2 if it comes to deciding between 2 and 4.

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

mixed raise > 2 Heart > 4 Heart

If you do not have a mixed raise in your system, change your system...
Imo much more useful then a just preemptive raise if you have no other way to show both hand types.

3H, no matter what I play :)
If I held a 5th Heart I would bid 4H.
It all makes perfect sense, expressed in dollars and cents.

This is a constructive raise make the bid that describes that in my case that would be 2

3, but if I had to choose between 2 and 4 I would bid 4.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.
