T for 10? must have been covered heaps of times

I strongly prefer T to the widely spaced 1 0 seen on BBO. I guess a compressed 10 is good too.
Anyway, I blame the wide 10 for quite a few misbids.
Fred said it won't change. Just wondering why

Yeah I strongly prefer T, too, but some people have the opposite opinion strongly.

Would it be Z with the German version and D in Romanic languages?
