"Online bridge clubs may run Club Championships under similar conditions as face-to-face clubs. All masterpoint awards will be non-pigmented. In an online club championship, each pair must play at least 18 boards. One open club championship may be awarded per quarter for sessions 1 – 12 (Monday – Thursday) with a maximum first place overall award of 3.90. Carried 20-5. I voted in favour."

It is true. We expect to start running such games before long. When all the details are worked out we will let you know.
Nice of the ACBL BOD to let us do this, by the way. Understandably, this was not an easy decision for them to make.

I wanted to follow up and find out of BBO is running club champinship events or if that rule has changed.
If BBO is running them, how are they advertised?

They can't be run too frequently ( 12 games in total once every 3 months, some Mon->Thur ).
We will probably start running them shortly. Maybe Jan.
When we run them we'll advertise them via lobby news.
