Scoring: IMP

Pass-(1)-Dbl-(Pass);
2-(Pass)-Pass-(2);
2-(2)-Pass-(Pass);
3...etc!

Did South abide the Law or bid illegally?

If unlawful, when did it go wrong:
* 1st bid should have been 2 not 2?
* 2nd bid should have been Pass (or 3) not 2?
* 3rd bid... ...how could South even think of a third bid with this hand?
* ...?...

South's bidding looks okay to me except for a nagging worry about opps reaching 4.

I like the bidding. You are definitely a limited hand and it certainly doesn't sound like you are trying for game.

I would have bid 3 instead of 2 the second time.

I would have bid 3 over 2 because my hand is really all about clubs. Given the actual auction I don't know why that would stop me from my original plan so I think 3 is obvious. You have a 6-4, partner made a takeout double of 1 and my suit quality is of QJ109! Passing seems like a crime.
