Fluffy your old avatar was way cooler than this one (the one with 'destroyer of worlds')
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

The collective reflected quietly amongst itself and promptly short-circuited never to be heard from again. If Picard had known this super weapon existed, the battle versus the Borg would have been much easier.

Great book, and the only one I know of that uses the word "lovelily" (in a lovely manner) or "friendlily" (in a friendly manner). On page 1, no less.

I know man, Free gave me the link to it and it ruled (specially on the forums of www.spacegame.es, it was so damn cool there). But that Belgian server suddenly changed the avatars on the folder to some stupid smileys, and I could never find it back. My fault for not saving it properly :(.

Playing with the bots is a kick. My first thought was that 55 minutes for 12 boards would be a problem, but not if you sometimes make your bot the declarer. They may not be brilliant but they are fast! Knowing that you always have the best hand at the table distorts the bidding a bit, or maybe more than a bit, but it's still fun.

The ACBL 12-board tourneys don't give the best hand to the player, do they? I thought that was only the Robot Rewards tourneys.

At least some do. The one coming up next (11:45 EST) does (I just checked) and I believe that all 3 that I played did.

I think I would prefer that they did not. I suppose the idea is that since the customer is forking over the cash he should have a good shot at being declarer but I prefer to play it straight. Playing with the bots is for fun, so I don't really care.

first of all 55 mins time limit is not a factor, most players including me finish in 25 30 mins. Some are late because either they were disconnected and lost lot of time to come back or just left unfinished. As a result most of the time we get result after 55 minutes. The robots in playing, biding and defending refelects IT guys knowladge of bridge. so like any other partnership must be evolved over time.

Click on the robot or your own bid anytime to see what the bot thinks it means. :)

in summary lets say robot bid to find 6 or 7 by bidding 5c. to me i know my hand so does robot knows his, lets see no aces and 3k 2 q, and over my 2c followed by 3d robot decide to try for slam with crappy hand, no wonder why so many players dont like to play with robots.

The bot has 15 HCP and only 5 losers. Slam makes if trumps are 2-2, the queen is singleton, or the opening lead is A.

However, that's only because you have the perfect hand for him, with an extra trump. And a splinter in your suit seems incredibly weird.

Did you submit a robot report of the hand?

I didn't know that I could put the robots on report. Can they do the same with me?

The bots have settings. I think the settings for the robot-ourneys emphasize speed.
