I'm wanting a good action or mmo mac game that will work easily with 7 but doesn't require a good graphics or video card. I'm about to go to high school and need a good game that will last a while...

What about Spring, and the Total Annihilation clones ? I can't say with confidence that they don't require a good video card, tho, sorry.

For an mmo, try Clan Lord. Very simple graphics, and a small but fun community. You might want to check out The Clan Lord Sentinel, to see what the community is up to.

Edit: I see your title says Linux, but your post says Mac. CL is a Mac game.

I know of a bunch of online massive multi player games, in fact I often think that it would be rather fun for BBO guys to join in mass to one of those games and dominate it per force :D

Civ4 runs fine in Linux/Wine, isn't too needy, and is like $20 (maybe cheaper) at direct2drive these days.
Still decidedly intermediate - don't take my guesses as authoritative.
