Yesterday i was playing the web version, and I saved the convention card of a partner.

It appears that only the old style card was saved, while I think that the partner meant for me to have the full fdcc with answers from the windows version.

The said card does not appear whne i try thr windows versions-- ie using the feature-- look for other convention cards.

Is the fdcc available and retrievable from the web version.

thanks

When you save a convention card with the web-client you can later retrieve it using the web-client. You should not expect to be able to access such convention cards directly (ie by opening a file on your hard disk) using the Windows client.

Here is how you can retrieve any of your convention cards using the web-client:

Log in with the web-client and click the "My BBO" button at the top of the screen and then "Convention cards" on the menu that appears. You will then see a window with 2 lists in it. The list to the left should contain all convention cards that you have saved (plus all convention cards that other people have saved while specifying you as their partners).

And how might I edit a web client CC? I tried but was unable to figure it out.

thanks,

I suspect the question pertains to FD Convention Cards. If so, the answer is that you cannot edit them using the web-client. You can make copies of an existing FD CC for the purposes of that CC in more than one partnership. In order to do this click the "Edit" button associated with the FD CC you want to copy, type your new partner's user ID in the "Partner" area, and click the "Save changes" button.

If the question pertains to some other type of Convention Card, please clarify why it is that you are having trouble and I will try to help.

Recently a couple of opponents in ACBL speedballs have complained that I have no CC loaded. But, when I check I can see our FD CC loaded. I am using the web client.

We've gone through the process of asking the opponents if they are looking in the right place and double checking that both my partner and I can see our own CC at the time when our opponents say they cannot see our card.

The opponents apparently can see the explanations for our bids which FD automatically provides in the auction box.

Is there a known problem with FD and the web client? I'd save a screen shot, but everything appears to be working on my screen, so other than seeing the opponents' complaints, I don't think it would be useful.
