I would like to gather the bbo user names of some players who play the weak NT and review them using myhands or bridgebrowser. If your playing a weak NT pipe up now!

Alternatively if people would like to post interesting weak nt hands, that'd be great.

I care about the friends I have made on BBO. Also, I am extremely concerned about the environment/ ecology/ wildlife/ the little planet that we call Earth. How much more of the world's habitat and food supply for animals do we plan on destroying. How many more wetlands are we going to drain, fill, and build on? How many more sand dunes are we going to knock down in the interests of high-rise hotels or luxury homes?

Hi Jon:

Is that the new baby? He's precious/ Mazel Tov.

Your post or question is rather vague. Not sure what you're looking for or where you would like to go with this.
But, I learned bridge playing weak NT's (K-S, etc.) and fwiw, really don't like some of the inherent liabilities of strong NTs. Hence, my real preferred 1NT opening range is 13-16.
I once played kamikaze (9-12) in a midnight swiss about 37 years ago but there are positives and negative to that, too.

You said to "pipe-up". So, for a friend, I "pipe".

I play a weak NT with slvrrose. Our hands may or may not be interesting to you, since we also play a non-standard system over 1NT openings.

You also don't specify how you'll find the hands which are affected by a weak NT. Let me suggest that you especially look for auctions like 1m-1M;2M. These are the biggest constructive gains of the weak NT; most everything else is either symmetric with the strong NT or preemptive (Speaking of preemptive, 1N-AP and 1N-(2x)-dbl) are great examples of that aspect).

Most people I know either play weak NT with 4 card majors or strong NT with 5 card majors.. so you may well be comparing two different systems rather than just two different NT ranges.

I have played both these systems for many years - is there anything specific you are interested in?
