One of the frustrating things about BBO is that many people - particularly advanced and expert players - just leave mid-hand with no announcement, of if they end in a nasty contract and don't want to play it, or ... well, seemingly for many reasons of that sort. Of course, some may just have lost their connection, but more often than not it's timed to something that happened on the board.
It would be easy to set up a software monitoring system to note when people left mid game but did not lose their connection, and went to another table. Perhaps some way could be found of gently hinting to them to clean up their behavior. Just because this is online doesn't mean we shouldn't treat each other with courtesy. I see it happen multiple times every time I play. I think many people have come to belief that it's an "okay" etiquette to behave like that.
Thanks,
Keith

The system already monitors this. If a player does it too much, they get banned temporarily.
It also keeps track of table hosts booting players. If you boot too much, you'll also get banned.

Okay, thanks. But since I see it so often, I guess people must get banned often
