Suitplay's line loses to Jx offside but picks up x and xx offside. That does seem rather better. I think I was talking about how to play 109xx opposite AQx, though it's possible that I wasn't talking about anything at all.

After looking at this hand many times I think:

-If partner has Qs opposite AK we are ok, if he has Js we are in trouble.
-If partner has 10 we are ok, if he doesn't we are in trouble.
-If partner's doubleton is diamonds we are in trouble.

But having 10 or Queens and not Jacks is more like a matter of luck, sure he might have upgraded or downgraded his way through, but evaluating this is like fliping many coins.

Fluffy, is there any 2344 16-count where you would accept partner's slam try?

Indeed it is (but 46% says sp). Thanks for the ostensibly sidetracking comment, now I learned something from this thread :)
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

We have AKAK, the Q in partner's suit, and several good pips. Moving seems obvious to me.

Unless this is a trick question - we can't move, because in the original diagram there are 3 passes to conclude the auction.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

without 5 card minor it would take 2 spade honnors (10 included), and maybe Kx.

something odd outside such as AQJ10 in a minor maybe good enough.

when I said I didn't accept I didn't look very deep, now I am more like 50-50, it is just very random.
