My team (National Open Team) may be interested in taking part in team events in Europe (or possibly elsewhere) , between Oct 2009 and May 2010.
We are mainly interested in :
1. Strong field.
2. Medium length event (about 3 days of play).
Any suggestions ?
I heard about a tournment in Milano in December. Has anyone played there , and wishes to share his personal experience?

The strongest event in the UK is the Shapiro Spring Foursomes. It will be held in Stratford-upon-Avon from Friday 30 April - Tuesday 4 May, 2010 (only the semifinals and final are played on the Tuesday).
All the top UK players will be there, typically with some of the top Norwegians, Dutch and Bulgarian players. It is a very enjoyable event and the plate competition is still a good competition when you get knocked out of the main event.
There is a limit of 64 teams, as it is a double-elimination competition. I have never known the event to be full, although there have been 56 teams for the last couple of years. Given that there be over 200 teams at Brighton this weekend, this shows that only the top teams attend.
The details from this year's event are on the EBU website including the team lists. I'm sure the EBU Competitions department would welcome any enquiry and help with arrangements.

What about Bonn Nations Cup in Germany, 12-13 May 2010?
The organizers would be surely glad to invite such a strong team like yours one.
