even if nfb is sound but nonforcing......

Again I assume 2d is sound but not forcing......in other words not silly weak.....

Hi,

2S showes values, but not necessariliy a 4 card suit and is forcing
for 1 round, not GF.
So to answer your question, 2S is not a full reverse.

There was a thread dealing with this precise auction some weeks
ago, and my opinion was a minority one.

Well at a minimum 2♠ has to show extras since you can't have ♠ or else you would have made a -X over 2♣

If an nfb can be up to 11 I think it should be from 14/15 and upwards, i.e. at least game interest opposite a max nfb. Forcing for one round obviously.

Assuming you play NFB as in the OP then if you are dealt 4=1=6=2 then double is frequently likely to end in a silly contract whenever partner does not have four spades. And under those conditions double and correct to diamonds would be forcing.

2♦ (NFB) therefore seems much more sensible than a takeout double. With the possibility of bidding spades later if necessary.
