in my favorite method ill bid 2D multi inv (with pass and correct responses)

over 2H ill bid 2S inv and over 2S (accepting H but not S) we will play 4H.

In standard i think ill go 3H inv. Where i live partner is more likely to have a 6th H than having 3S.

2H is 2nd choice.

I don't think you know what the term "where I live" means in a bridge context. No one lives in his two small.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

Thanks for playing, now for the rest of the story (I reversed NS here from the original post, but the point is the same)...

Scoring: MP

Partner opens 1H, you bid 1S, partner rebids 2C, back to you.

Contracts includes 2H, 2S, 2N, 3N, 3H, 3S, 4H, 4S, and 6S

The most sucessful auctions were the ones where south rebid 3S (invitational, but not forcing). Bidding 2D generally lead to game (gf 4th suit for most people I suspect).

Seeing both hands, and remembering your first vote, how would the bidding go. I thought 2D was the right bid, btw.

1H-1S
2C-2D
3C-3D
3S-4S seems right to me.

Granted Ben opens on crap and rebids 2c on crap :(....... but agree.........

I understand rebidding 2h over 2c playing with Ben.

This is really a good problem, still dunno but gut says 2H. I would easily bid 2D at imps, but the whole "find the right strain at all costs" argument is not really good at MP, maybe just staying low in the wrong strain is better than being too high in the right strain.

Actually, I play ritong 2 (kind of gazilli) so if I open 1M and rebid 2 I have a very good hand, not crap. I do open on crap howerver. :)

Playing my methods, I would have opened 2 introducing a whole nother level of complexity to this hand, and probably would have end up playing 2 or 2.
