Imp's, R vs W, dealer passes and you hold:

Qx
AKQJ

What do you open? Is this a 'wtp'?

1 wtp.

Would not have been wtp if my minors were 4-5 (open 1 then probably).

1 wtp.

Even with 45 I usually open 1 club and live with the consequences.

1C.

You have a 6 carder.

I still would open 1C with 5-4 in the minors, but at least
in this case I can understand, that this is not a wtp.

The suit quality should at best be responsible that you
supress one card, not 2.

It is too early to worry that I would prefer a lead if opps buy the contract. Even though most of my points are in , I won't mind not to be able to show a four cards minor.

1 then 2 after 1M or 1NT from pard. Easy opening, easy rebid.

If this hadn't been a forum problem I would op 1 without thinking about it.

Having thought about it I would still open 1. Problem with 1 is that my third bid would have to show 5-5 minors. I like offshape 1NT rebids but this one goes too far.

This is really interesting hand in strong club where 1 is usually 4+ and 2 6+.
There I'd probably open 1 but never playing natural.

1 unless playing canape. Either way, an easy one.

This is definitely not a WTP. 1C. Opponent didn't open in front of me so the chances it is our hand are better and I don't have to consider lead directors; shape matters in constructive auctions.

With a 6-4 this is always a 1 WTP.

I don't know, what does it look like on that planet... Hope you enjoyed the trip :P

Had the seat been anything but second unfav, 1D [for me] is a possibility. But I might still bid 1C.
