We're playing 2/1. I'd apreciate some thoughts on this one. Who's to blame?

North can bid 6H over 5C.

At the very least north should pass 5C planning to pull a double to 5H showing a slam try in hearts. On this hand south will bid 5H himself in which case north would bid 6.

imo, North gets the majority, if not all, of the blame.
Is the word "pass" not in your vocabulary?
So many experts, not enough X cards.

North 100%

I think North should just bid 6, but a pass and pull is acceptable also I suppose.
Yay for the "Ignored Users" feature!

With the north hand I'd be more afraid of missing a grand than going down at the 6-level, so just bidding 5 is out of the question. Give south xxxx AKQxxxx Qx -, and a grand is laydown.
Kind regards,
Harald
