Hi fellow TDs
Running bigger tournaments in real life seems to be much easier than here on BBO - regarding on waiting time.
If on my 50+ tables tournaments a player leaves wether for good (perhaps he/she died) or left in a hurry (for the restrooms?) then I would know what to do.
Not so easy here in BBO:
Sometimes the BBO-Server is slow, sometimes some country-server are slow, but in the end... how shall I decide (within big tournaments) where I re-place someone who is red or where I shall let them wait.
Any remarks?
Thanks, Oliver

fwiw my approach is:
Indys sub immediately., without warning or apology
Pairs; let the remaining player decide if they want to take a sub or wait for partner. Any incomplete or skipped board is adjusted A- for the missing pair, A+ for the opps. If the current board is within 1or2 tricks of completion, I will adjust to actual result.
Its nice (easy on the TD) to run survivor tournaments then incomplete pairs are automatically discarded at the end of a round.
