You're ready to open 1♠ but your RHO was the dealer and did just that!
1♠ Pa 2♠ X
Pa ???
What do you do now? You're playing imp's, would you do something else if you were playing MP's?

Anxious pass at MP's. (Because partners double can be quite a stretch.)
Do not underestimate the power of the dark side. Or the ninth trumph.

Finding your own mistakes is more productive than looking for partner's. It improves your game and is good for your soul. (Nige1)

Which contract offers the most chances to get rich?
And the form of scoring does not matter at all.
With kind regards

Maybe anxious is to strong a word, but partner doesn't promise the world in the live seat.
Just imagine:
♠ -
♥ Kxxx
♦ QJxx
♣ QJxxx
Of course this is quite pessimistic, but getting only 100, when we have a better partial, is also a risk.
The pass is still obvious though.
Do not underestimate the power of the dark side. Or the ninth trumph.

Gee, I don't think it would be anywhere near that high. However I also don't see a huge alternative.

having your pestimistic day today?
Partner doubled in a live auction and we seem to have 4 tricks even when all spade honours are behind us.
I would rate the chance of setting with 98 % as long as partner is no joker who doubles with a hand worse then Oles example.
