A DREAM COMES TRUE

This is my 28th day in th States. Starting with entry point (Chicago O'hare Int. Airport) everybody are extremely polite and generous to me. Lovely country and wonderful people. I am extraordinarily happy to be with all around nice company.

Th next day we hired a condo at North Myrtle Beach, SC for ten days. Bikers week was another fun. Then one of th perfect ACBL TDs who I met him online nearly two years - Samuel Howle accepted us as guest at his home and he bought an early lunch. I am told that i should feel myself free to revisit anytime and stay at his house. We were in a hurry to reach Mr Al Norwood's Bridge Unit, and unfortunately unable to find our car key. I lived rare but elegant unforgettable moment. Sam insisted me to get his new and expensive car to catch bridge tournament. Wow. It was our first face to face meeting. He is a nice guy and i will do my best for a lifelong loyal friendship.

I very much appreciate "Uncle Sam". Hey Jacki, why all good crew around you ?

Th Larry Paul Bridge Center 7951 and NC Sunset Bridge Clubs are really good places to visit. i am indebted for their pretty much fine demeanours. One should not skip to be in Calabash also. Yummy buffets - fish etc.

Today we enjoyed at Columbia Bridge Club, SC. I am grateful to Head of Directors Mr. Mike Bitonti and many hospitable nice members. I am announced as "Today we have a visitor who comes from Turkey here to play Bridge with us. Welcome to Hamdi Karluk".

It is indeed a very pleasant thing that felt myself like I am at my home. Can you imagine many ladies and gentlemen approach you and with a smiling face communicate in a foreign country? Some of them were been in Turkey. Another American gentleman who served his nation in my country long years ago introduced himself and told me 'hosgeldiniz" (welcome) in my parent language. I did hug him instantly.

They are helpful, courteous, humble, sweet. I am lucky. Still friends waiting me at different states.

Orlando
California - still OKBridge years good friends living there and I will keep my promise
Arizona - woohoo Phoenix Suns. Go go go
Florida
Ohio - very soon
Washington DC
NY - Manhattan Island

I think I am a very rich man. My friends are real treasures in this life.

After tournament I had a booklet. A fine collection with 36 pieces great hands. Big gain for my diary&archive. "Th 23rd World Wide Bridge Contest. Saturday afternoon 6th June 2009".

All my best.

Hamdi Karluk

Maybe you can surf at columbia bridge club web page.
I ve no idea about "borat". Maybe you clarify what you wanted to tell me.
Entry fee 9$ including light food service
I think a typo .. i see "homdi kovluk" on printed summary.
Tho i overcame jetlag 3 big zero boards, all was my fault. Partner did not cut my throat but i am really ashamed. I was under stress my passport dropped somewhere in room while tournament running. Everybody alarmed and found it then gave back to me, anyways game was over. My bad.

Hopefully would be able to rectify th count at sectional. I normally reach 60+ at MPs in my country and here also. But this time it was 52%. Seems i ve to refresh. Still doing post-mortems not to repeat same errors.

Btw any recommend abt 2/1 book? I think I can buy it on web. If you know anything abt deceptive lines book would be nice to have th name.

Thanks :)

58%! You did very well. I was just kidding about the Borat thing. Good luck on your trip and maybe your new life.
