Anyone heard whether any final decision has been made as to 2010 WBF? I keep not seeing anything on point.
"Gibberish in, gibberish out. A trial judge, three sets of lawyers, and now three appellate judges cannot agree on what this law means. And we ask police officers, prosecutors, defense lawyers, and citizens to enforce or abide by it? The legislature continues to write unreadable statutes. Gibberish should not be enforced as law."

If you're talking about the World Bridge Games (the Open World Championships), I know nothing more than you.
Kind regards,
Harald

I am. I wonder if anyone knows anything. 2010 is not that far off.

Now that sounds excellent.

I thought that was old news, with St. Petersburg backing out. Back in?

It's not going to be St Petersburg but more likely a city in the USA.

I have heard either Detroit or Philadelphia... I'm not sure which though...

I am a member of the Philadelphia unit of the ACBL.

There was an announcement made via e-mail to the members of the Unit that the World Championships were going to be held here. However, that announcement proved to be premature, as the official decision has not yet been made (as of two weeks ago). I heard that directly from an official source. And a retraction of the earlier announcement was made by e-mail.

To the best of my knowledge, an official determination has yet to be made. There is certainly nothing posted about it on the Unit or District websites.

So, while the World Championships MAY be coming to Philadelphia, it is not yet official.
