Why does this merit a "LOL", with or without ♠Q? (Not that I think any posts deserve a "LOL", but that's a cultural thing.)

I'd bid 1♠. I've never overcalled at the one-level on a 20-count, but it's hard to imagine our making any game but 4♠. Pass, hoping to be able to double 1NT for penalties or 2♣ for takeout, might work, but we might also find ourselves defending 1♥ opposite ♠Jxxx and ♦Q
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

Because he's lazy and moderators are too awed to give him a spam warning :)

Incidently, I'll double, intending to bid 2♠ over the likely 2♣ by pard. The reason for action is we need very, very little in pard to make game. Heck,

After partner has passed we rate to have fit on one of our suits. Start with 1♠ and find out.

I have never overcalled on the one level with a 20 count before either... Well, maybe once before I learned about doubling and correcting... But this does look like a good situation to try it. I'm going to double however, since if partner bids clubs, maybe I should just shoot out 3NT... I will hopefully have avoided a ♣ lead, and even just the Q♠ or J♦ from partner gives me a good play at this.
The real problem is whether a 4-3♠ fit may play better... I doubt it.
