I agree with both of you, but N was worse. His hand doesn't look anything like a 3♥ bid.

I think you have a head start over most partnerships, and you should reach a more detailed agreement about what 3♥ means. In some of my partnerships 3♥ would be fine; in others it would have too much defence.

By the way, the final contract is an excellent sacrifice against 6♣ by West.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

52% to North and 60% to South, sorry 655321.

3♥ is decent, but is lacks shape. 5♥ is counting on shape from partner, but I really don't like it at equal colors.
