Playing with my regular partners it's a pretty easy 1♠. It's possible, but extremely unlikely that we're going to miss something after this start.

Lol where do people come up with these reputations? And even if he were going to treat it as balanced I guarantee he would open 2♣ and call it 22-23.

If we can play 2S after a 2C opening, I would go with 2S,
but I am pretty sure, that you wont be able to stop in 2S.

It worked for a strange reason; pard had ♥KT98xx (2=6=3=2). Not sure if she would have 1N'd over 1♠.

Not sure what you mean it worked. Game is very close and could easily go down, and partner would be nuts not to respond with KT98xx of hearts anyway.

I would open 1♠. 2NT is the only other call worthy of consideration. The hand is not even close to a 2♣ opening bid.
