2NT. Should have a play for. Expect at most 1 down. 2♠ doubled can get ugly.

I bid 2NT. 2♠ is far more likely to go for 500 than to make, whereas 2NT might play OK. RHO probably doesn't have much outside spades, which won't be much use to him in 2NT with partner playing on the other three suits.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

You have to run, but I don't like 2N if they are poised to take 4 or 5 spade tricks. Mark me down for 3♣.

I guess I'll believe them and try for 3♣. I don't like 2NT since I might still lose 4 or 5 spade tricks.
