I was going to post when it was the wrong auction and say I was going to bid 2♣ :) I don't think pass is mandatory now but I think it's right. Raising is far from absurd though.
Please let me know about any questions or interest or bug reports about GIB.

2♣ is most commonly played as non-forcing (even disregarding the fact that you are a passed hand here). 7-11 points or such. It isn't really a stretch with a good 6-card suit and a passed hand IMHO. Unless of course p excpects 10-11 as withouth the interference.

Without special agreements - probable for beginner and intermediate forum - I think that 2♣ is an overbid.

I didnt bid 2♣ but I did bid 3♠, seems a bit odd now but it did work out.
