Playing SAYC, it goes Pass on your right and being Vul vs NV you hold:

KT9642
97
7
A632

Do you open with a weak-2 in spades or pass?

Also, he rates to not have a heart void when he leads the 3.

What hanp said.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

If you don't open this 2 here you might as well not play weak 2 bids. The spade spots and shape make it automatic.

Suppose that I believed that in second seat at adverse a weak two should have a one-loser suit. Are you saying that I'd be better off playing 2 as something completely different, and if so what?
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I would open this 2 always... Probably even without the 9. I have weak 2 bids on the card for a reason, and I'm gonna use them!

I'm saying your belief about second seat weak 2 bids means your style of weak 2 bids is very bad, and I have no interest in deciding what you should play instead.

I'm opening, not too happily, but to attack the heart/diamond partials.
