Two spades showed a two-suiter, 6-10 hcp.
... and I can prove it with my usual, flawless logic.

6♣ is overkill imho, It is pass or 4NT or 5♣. I think I like 4NT.
The world would be such a happy place, if only everyone played Acol :) --- TramTicket

4NT. I had this happen recently, except the opps bid and raised the same suit, not a new suit.

I would just pass for now.
heh, I thought I only had 8 tricks. I think 4N is right
Edit: yes pass is forcing though imo.

It is a method of scoring only 1 table of bridge. There is a "par" calculated with a linear interpolation between 20 hcp=0 and 26 hcp=+400 (or +600 if you had bid a vulnerable game) and you substract it from your actual score. It makes Chicago scoring a little less luck-based.
For example:
23 hcp between the two hands:
the difference between the two sides=6hcp. You divide this by 3 and multiply it by 100 -> 200 points.
So if you make 4M, you get to keep 220, but if you make only 2M+1, it's -60.

clubs are 3-0 so they make 4♠ and you only have 9 tricks in clubs and NT.
