Sitting north:

1-(4)-X-P
???

As a bonus question, assuming you don't pass this, how high would the pre-empt have to be to pass (on the actual hand 4C was very conservative to be kind)

I would pass 7C and bid over 6C.

This is a good hand, I bid 5C. I will bid 6C over 5D, 6H over 5H and 5NT ("pick a slam") over 5S.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

I agree that this is a good hand, but I'll just settle for a pessimistic and quiet 4. There may be bad breaks lurking and pard may have streched to double (though he does seem to have some clubs, which hint otherwise).

Would bid over 5 and toss a coin over 6. Pass to 7.

Scoring: MP

1-4-X-P
5-X-5-P
6-AP

I misplayed it and only made 12, good enough though since each of the other tables bought it out in 5X (one somehow only made 9 tricks- don't ask).

6H is a bad bid imo, 4C is from another planet.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.
