Guess it depends how you play it then but to me 3H denies 4+ spades so I would bid 4S now.

Playing with somebody that would double on the rag I would, I settle for a "good" 3♣.
(Edit: Nah, having thought about, I wont bid 3♣, simply to pessimistic.)
If I feel my hand is to good for this, it is 2NT followed by 3NT, showing a gameforcing balanced hand without a stopper.
(I play virtually the same Lebensohl here, as I do in 1NT - (2♠) - ?)

We should always assume 2/1 unless otherwise stated, because:
- If the original poster didn't bother to state his system, that means that he thinks it's obvious what he's playing. The only people who think this are 2/1 players.

Obviously anyone can follow their agreements. If I don't have any useful ones I'll bid 4♣ over 3♠.

To me, 3h shows a game force with more than one place to play, and no stopper.
I actually have no interest in 3n on this hand, as it's easy to imagine 5c playing better even if partner has ♥Ax/Kx (something as mundane as QJxx Kx Axx AJxx. Trade a small diamond for a small club, and I think I'd still rather be in 5c).
It seems right to bid 4c over 3h, assuming that's forcing. If partner bids 4d, i'll bid 5c, and I think I will get to diamonds if and only if partner has 5 of them. Of course if partner bids 4s I'll pass.
If 4c is NF, I'll just bid 5c (either now or over x, I don't really know the difference without a clear agreement about 3h). I'm willing to gamble on game.

I make my systemic bid to show game values without either a heart stop or four spades. In most of my partnerships that's 3♥ (cue bids ask for a stop; 3NT bids show a stop; via Lebensohl shows the unbid major).
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn
