1♣ - 1♥ - pass - pass
Dbl - pass - pass - Rdbl
I consider the first pass automatic, with such a misfit I do nothing when partner overcalls.
When the opps bid something I'm happy to defend.
When partner gets doubled in 1♥ I look at a void and start running elsewhere with a rdbl.

Pasing partners 1 Heart bid with 12 HCP would never occur to me.
But in the light of the one club opening and my heart chicane a non forcing 2 diamond is the most I will do. Partner shows his minimum hand with really good hearts by bidding 2 Heart and I pass happily.

I would certainly not pass all 12 counts of course, but here I have no suit, I cannot raise partner and I won't bid NT with a void.
With 12HCP and diamonds AKxxx I would bid 2♦.

South could bid 2♦ or 1NT reasonably, and either way north rebids hearts and there it ends. I really can't imagine south passing 1♥.

I prefer 2D with the south hand.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

agree, I prefer 1N with such bad diamonds
