Scoring: MP

(1D)-------X--------(3D) preempt------???

partner is knowned to X agressively.
From Psych "I mean, Gus and I never see eye-to-eye on work stuff.
For instance, he doesn't like being used as a human shield when we're being shot at.
I happen to think it's a very noble way to meet one's maker, especially for a guy like him.
Bottom line is we never let that difference of opinion interfere with anything."

What does agressively mean?
Is he agressive, if it comes to HCP or if it comes
to shape?

I would most likely bid 3H, but if I risk facing a
bal. hand , than I think pass is a sensible option.
Partner will have another option to speak, and he
will, if we have game.

Even if dbling aggressively partner should have seem that we are red and they are white.
So I think I can take the risk of bidding 3.

If I act at all, I double, showing two places to play.
I would rather play in 4C than 3H opposite Axxx Kxx x KJxxx

3 for me. A bit pushy but you cannot afford to lose more time.

I would pass.

Maybe it is right to bid at MP. I think we will often go down in our contract, but on the other hand they will often make 3. But sometimes nobody can make 9 tricks, and I will hope this is one of those times.
That's impossible. No one can give more than one hundred percent. By definition that is the most anyone can give.

In another thread we're told that xxx AKx xxx AQJx is a takeout double of 1. If partner has something like that, 3 won't be much fun.
... that would still not be conclusive proof, before someone wants to explain that to me as well as if I was a 5 year-old. - gwnn

I pass, it's just not quite enough.

I pass, agree with Frances that double is the second choice.
and the result can be plotted on a graph.

Pass, but I would double if one of my clubs was a spade.

Pass.

I'll act if I had a stiff diamond (by doubling).

I would too, but I think you will be playing in 3.

Anyway I would pass, change the J to the Q and I think I have a close decision and would double.

This is quite minimum and holding 2 is not so good here as PD also often has two. All things considered, I pass and see if PD can reopen.

It's a min, but it's all working points.

This is very true, and acting could be correct. I'd like 1 more working point or non

I imagine Frances intends to convert 3 to 4, trusting her partner not to be 4=3=3=3.

Clear pass IMO. I don't have the goods for any action now.
Kind regards,

Of course that would also be a true statement about xxx J9xx xx xxxx. So even hands with all working points need to exceed some minimum threshhold.

No, because then the odds are pard has an 18+ hand and it's not all working points :)

Well, anyway, I like 3H , period ^^
